What GLOW is and what it is studied for
The GLOW pen combines three peptides in one click: BPC-157 10 mg and TB-500 10 mg, the same repair pairing as the Wolverine pen, plus GHK-Cu 50 mg. GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide studied for collagen synthesis, wound healing and hair-follicle activity; it is the ingredient with the strongest signal in the group for skin quality, and the ingredient that sets the protocol's ceiling.
The research interest is cumulative and gradual: skin texture and hydration first, tone and fine lines later, reduced hair shedding later still. BPC-157 and TB-500 bring recovery between training sessions and the settling of minor soft-tissue niggles as a side benefit. Nothing about GLOW is fast, and the whole protocol is built around a low run-in, a conservative hold dose and a click ceiling above which this combination is not used.
Who it suits — and who should not run it
Written for adult women and men whose goal is skin, hair, collagen and recovery — not fat loss, not performance. Baseline copper and ceruloplasmin are non-negotiable before the first click. The house exclusions:
Not for
- Active cancer or a recent history of cancer — GHK-Cu and the repair peptides work through growth-signalling pathways.
- Wilson's disease or any other known disorder of copper metabolism.
- Pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy in the next 6 months.
- Under 18.
- A known hypersensitivity to any of the three peptides in the pen.
The house protocol
Once daily, five days a week (Monday–Friday), subcutaneous in the abdomen a hand's width from the navel, rotating the site every day, in the evening. Weekends are off — five on, two off is the house rhythm for the whole cycle. One pen = 300 clicks; each click delivers 33.3 mcg BPC-157 + 33.3 mcg TB-500 + 166.7 mcg GHK-Cu.
Two phases: a two-week run-in that introduces GHK-Cu gently, then a ten-week hold at the working dose with no further step-ups.
| Pen | Dose per injection | Clicks | Frequency | Timing | Cycle |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GLOW 10 mg + 10 mg + 50 mg | 200 mcg BPC-157 + 200 mcg TB-500 + 1.0 mg GHK-Cu | 6 | Daily, Monday–Friday | Evening | Weeks 1–2 — run-in |
| GLOW 10 mg + 10 mg + 50 mg | 333 mcg BPC-157 + 333 mcg TB-500 + 1.67 mg GHK-Cu | 10 | Daily, Monday–Friday | Evening | Weeks 3–12 — hold |
| Ceiling | 2 mg GHK-Cu | 12 | — | — | Never exceeded with this combination |
Click total: 10 days × 6 = 60, plus 50 days × 10 = 500, for 560 clicks → 2 pens (600 clicks), leaving 40 clicks at the end of the cycle. Keep the pen in the fridge between uses.
Mild injection-site redness or itch from GHK-Cu is common in the run-in weeks and is not a reason to stop. A lump, spreading heat or warmth around the site is not normal and is a same-day message to your coach. A metallic taste together with nausea and fatigue is the signal to stop and call.
Week by week — what people typically notice and when
| When | What is typically reported |
|---|---|
| Weeks 1–2 (run-in) | Mild site redness or itch is common. Recovery from training and minor soft-tissue niggles is often felt from week 2. |
| Weeks 3–5 | Skin texture and hydration are usually the first visible change. |
| Weeks 6–10 | Tone and fine lines continue to improve through this window. |
| Weeks 8–12 | Hair shedding tends to reduce. Visible regrowth lags behind and is usually not apparent by week 12. |
| Throughout | Response varies; skin and hair changes are gradual and cumulative, never sudden. |
The pen does not work alone. SPF every morning without exception — GHK-Cu's collagen and tone benefits are undone by unprotected sun. A retinoid at night if already tolerated, but do not start one for the first time in the same week as the pen. Vitamin C-rich food daily, because vitamin C is a required cofactor for collagen synthesis. Training is unchanged: GLOW is a repair and aesthetic pen, not a reason to push harder.
Labs we ask for before and during
| Marker | When | Why it is on the list |
|---|---|---|
| Serum copper, ceruloplasmin | Baseline · week 12 | GHK-Cu adds a daily copper load; the recheck confirms it is clearing normally |
| Zinc | Baseline | Copper and zinc compete for absorption; a starting point matters |
| Full blood count | Baseline | General safety baseline before a 12-week cycle |
| Liver panel (ALT, AST, GGT, bilirubin) | Baseline | Copper is cleared through the liver |
| Cystatin C (never creatinine alone) | Baseline | Kidney measure not distorted by muscle or creatine |
The week-12 copper and ceruloplasmin recheck is the single most important number this protocol produces — do not skip it. No copper supplements for the duration, and no high-dose zinc changes without your physician. Vitamin D, magnesium and omega-3 remain the only general supplements.
Stacking: what it pairs with
GLOW already contains the full Wolverine pairing, so the two are never run together — choose Wolverine for an injury, GLOW for skin, hair and recovery. For a sleep and recovery layer that works on a different axis, the nightly CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin pairing is the usual partner, and epithalon fits as a short course inside the same 12 weeks for the researcher coming off a travel-heavy stretch.
Whatever is added, the copper rule does not change: no copper, no new high-dose zinc, and the week-12 ceruloplasmin recheck stays on the calendar. GLOW is also not a compound to run back-to-back without a break; spacing between cycles is a personalised-protocol decision.
Common mistakes
- Skipping baseline copper and ceruloplasmin. Twelve weeks of daily copper without a starting point is guessing.
- Going past 12 clicks. The hold dose is 10 clicks (1.67 mg GHK-Cu); 12 clicks (2 mg) is the ceiling, not a target.
- Adding a copper supplement or a high-dose zinc change mid-cycle. Both alter the balance the protocol is built around.
- Injecting seven days a week. Five on, two off is the house rhythm; the weekend rest is part of the plan.
- Not wearing SPF. Unprotected sun undoes the collagen and tone gains the pen is being run for.
- Judging it in the mirror in week 3. Texture first, tone later, hair last — and the decision at week 12 is made on labs, not on a good or bad skin day.
Frequently asked questions
How many clicks is a GLOW dose?
Six clicks a day for the two-week run-in (200 mcg BPC-157 + 200 mcg TB-500 + 1.0 mg GHK-Cu), then 10 clicks a day for weeks 3–12 (333 mcg + 333 mcg + 1.67 mg GHK-Cu). Never more than 12 clicks a day with this combination.
How much GHK-Cu is in each click of the GLOW pen?
166.7 mcg of GHK-Cu per click, alongside 33.3 mcg of BPC-157 and 33.3 mcg of TB-500. One pen holds 300 clicks and a 12-week cycle uses two pens.
Why do I need copper labs for a peptide protocol?
GHK-Cu adds a copper load every injection day for 12 weeks. Serum copper and ceruloplasmin at baseline and week 12 confirm your body is clearing it normally; anyone with Wilson's disease or another copper-metabolism disorder should not run GLOW at all.
Is injection-site redness from GHK-Cu normal?
Mild redness or itch at the site is common, especially in the run-in weeks, and is not a reason to stop. A lump, spreading warmth or spreading redness is not normal and needs a same-day message to your coach.
When do skin and hair changes from GLOW show up?
Skin texture and hydration are usually first, around weeks 3–5; tone and fine lines through weeks 6–10; reduced hair shedding around weeks 8–12. Visible hair regrowth usually lags beyond the cycle.
